Soup

Today's painting is painted from an actual still life set up (as opposed to a photograph) - my preference is to paint from real life rather than a photograph, but not always possible.

Rose Bouquet

You might not be able to tell that these are roses as I painted this in a very impressionistic style.  But, for the record, they are!

Garden Wisteria

Today's painting is a wisteria vine in an abandoned nursery -- not sure if I am done with it or not yet -- always prop the newest painting up on my mantle to look at it for a few days to see if it needs some touching up.

I showed my art teacher the funky face painting shown in the last post - I sort of thought of it as an aborigine woman - my art teacher immediately said "Mick Jagger"!!!  Eye of the beholder and all that.
